何気なく今日も生きて眠る

nanigenaku kyō mo ikite nemuru

I carelessly live another day and sleep.

当たり前に母は言う「朝だよ」

atarimae ni haha wa iu “asa da yo”

In an ordinary way, my mother says, “It's morning!”

僕に試練を与えた神を恨んで

boku ni shiren o ataeta kami o urande

Resenting God who gave me this trial,

他にいるだろうと泣いた

hoka ni iru darō to naita

I wept, saying there must be somebody else.

戦う勇気はない

tatakau yūki wa nai

I have no courage to fight.

限りある命だと思い知った

kagiri aru inochi da to omoishitta

I realized that life is limited.

生まれた意味を　絶える意味を

umareta imi o taeru imi o

Though life's form disappears, it leaves behind in memories

形消えても　記憶に残す

katachi kiete mo kioku ni nokosu

the meaning of being born and of passing away.

何気なく生きることをやめた

nanigenaku ikiru koto o yameta

I stopped living life carelessly.

当たり前と思うことをやめた

atarimae to omou koto o yameta

I stopped thinking of things as ordinary.

最高の音を浴びてリズム刻んで

saikō no oto o abite rizumu kizande

Bathed in my favourite sound, I follow the beat

「僕しか無理じゃん」と笑う

“boku shika muri jan” to warau

and say with a smile, “Only I can do it, right?”

楽しむ時間まだある

tanoshimu jikan mada aru

There's still time to enjoy.

限りある命こそ強さになる

kagiri aru inochi koso tsuyosa ni naru

The limitedness of life itself becomes a strength.

生まれた意味を　生きる意味を

umareta imi o ikiru imi o

愛を貰い　愛を与え

A person receives love, gives love,
