Sand grains that spill from my hands

見えない幸せをどう探してゆくのか

How do I go on searching for happiness that can't be seen?

曇り空の隙間から　光のカーテン　射した

kumorizora no sukima kara hikari no kāten sashita

A curtain of light shone through a break in the cloudy sky

迷う日々の中　真実の幸福

mayou hibi no naka shinjitsu no kōfuku

Amidst days of uncertainty might I be able

見つけられるでしょうか

mitsukerareru deshō ka

to find true joy?

振り返れば　此処ここまでの道

furikaereba koko made no michi

When I look back at the road thus far

歩いた足跡　何処どこまでも

aruita ashiato dokomademo

the footprints I've walked continue endlessly

笑い　怒り　涙流して

warai ikari namida nagashite

Laughing, angered, shedding tears,

気付かずにこんな遠くまで来た

without realizing I've come such a long way

Do I remember my childhood dreams?

無責任なことも　沢山言えたよね

I got to say many irresponsible things, didn't I

My heart is a timid one

生きてゆくだけで　苦しくなってしまった
