Enticed by the sunshine, I opened the window

うららかな晴れ空が　胸を満たす

uraraka na haresora ga mune o mitasu

一日の出来事を思い浮かべて

ichinichi no dekigoto o omoiukabete

What happened one day came to mind

弾む心　抑えきれず微笑んだ

hazumu kokoro osaekirezu hohoenda

and, unable to restrain my excitement, I smiled.

先のことなど分からないけど

saki no koto nado wakaranai kedo

I have no idea where things will lead,

いつか答えは出るでしょう

embracing the hope of an unknown future.

dokomademo nobite iku tabiji e

On a journey stretching out indefinitely

前を向いて　また歩き始めよう

mae o muite mata arukihajimeyō

I'll head off again facing forward.

寄る辺など無いと思って歩いてたけれども

yorube nado nai to omotte aruite'ta keredomo

I wandered thinking I had no one to turn to,

気がつけば　たくさんの笑顔があった

ki ga tsukeba takusan no egao ga atta

but when I took notice, there were plenty of smiles.

巡る季節　くり返す日々の中で

meguru kisetsu kurikaesu hibi no naka de

Among the repeating days of the cycling seasons

僕らは　数え切れないほど　いろんな夢を見た

bokura wa kazoekirenai hodo ironna yume o mita

we had countless different dreams.

きっと　いつまでも僕らは

kitto itsumademo bokura wa

Surely we'll never

立ち止まる暇など無いのでしょう

tachidomaru hima nado nai no deshō

have time to stand still.

涙流れても　それでも

Even if we shed tears, still,

as I keep in mind these echoing words,

喜びも悲しみもすべて

yorokobi mo kanashimi mo subete

because all our joys and sorrows

かけがえのない想い出になるから

kakegae no nai omoide ni naru kara

will become irreplaceable memories.

While I regret the passing of the current day,

どんな時も　進んで行けるでしょう

donna toki mo susunde yukeru deshō

I can move forward anytime.

明日も良い日になるでしょう

ashita mo ii hi ni naru deshō

Tomorrow will also be a wonderful day,

未知の先に　希望抱いて
