あの屋上から　見てた地平線

Ano okujō kara mite'ta chiheisen

On the horizon where I was looking from that rooftop

はるか彼方かなたで　かすむ飛行機雲

Haruka kanata de kasumu hikōkigumo

an aeroplane's trail blurred far in the distance.

そよぐ風に　吹かれながら

Soyogu kaze ni fukarenagara

As the stirring breeze blew over me

見上げる空が　大好きだった

miageru sora ga daisuki datta

I loved the sky I saw above me.

雨が降る日は　屋根の下で

Ame ga furu hi wa yane no shita de

Beneath the roof on a rainy day

足元濡らしながら　雨音を聴いた

ashimoto nurashinagara amaoto o kiita

while my getting feet wet I listened to the sound of the rain.

あの先にある　雲の切れ間から

Ano saki ni aru kumo no kirema kara

I felt that after the rain

何かが差し込む気がして

nanika ga sashikomu ki ga shite

something would shine in through a break in the clouds.

空の彼方かなたには　何があるのかな

Sora no kanata ni wa nani ga aru no ka na

What lies beyond the sky,

そんな事を思う　澄みきったブルースカイ

sonna koto o omou sumikitta burū skai

a clear blue sky where I think of such things?

現実や科学だけじゃ説明できない何かが

Genjitsu ya kagaku dake ja setsumei dekinai nanika ga

Something mere facts or science can't explain

夢や希望に似てる気がしたんだ

yume ya kibō ni nite'ru ki ga shita n da

seemed to resemble dreams and hope.

たまにいる先客　いつも隅のほう

Tama ni iru senkyaku itsumo sumi no hō

The same visitor who comes from time to time always stays in the corner.

この場所が好きだと　キミは笑ってみせた

Kono basho ga suki da to kimi wa waratte miseta

I like this place, you said, flashing a smile.

Sora no mukō ni wa dare ga iru no ka na

Who's there on the other side of the sky

人と人を繋つなぐ　無限のブルースカイ

hito to hito o tsunagu mugen no burū sukai

this infinite sky that connects one person to another?

Dare ni mo hanasenai afureru omoi o

My overflowing feelings that I could tell no-one

この場所でいつも　空に放っていた

kono basho de itsumo sora ni hanatte ita

from here I was always sending into the sky.

空を見上げると　昨日のことのように思い出す

Sora o miageru to kinō no koto no yō ni omoidasu
