Ameagari no sora ni niji ga kakatte iru

There's a rainbow across the sky after the rain.

同じ速さで隣を歩いてくれた日々は戻らない

Onaji hayasa de tonari o aruite kureta hibi wa modoranai

The days when you walk at the same pace beside me will not return.

初めて芽生えた気持ちも言葉も　

Hajimemete mebaeta kimochi mo kotoba mo

Sprouting for the first time, feelings, words,

ふたりだけの秘密たちも

futari dake no himitsu-tachi mo

secrets only between the two of us.

目を閉じたら聴こえてくるよ　大好きな旋律が

Me o tojitara kikoete kuru yo daisuki na senritsu ga

When I close my eyes, I can hear my favourite tune.

ああ　ありがとう　鳴り止むカノン　さようなら愛しい人

Ā arigato nariyamu kanon Sayōnara itoshii hito

Ah thank you, canon that stops ringing. Goodbye, dearest one.

逢えない夜　空に星が光っている

Aenai yoru sora ni hoshi ga hikatte iru

On a night when we can't see each other, the stars shine in the sky.

すれ違っていて何度もぶつかり合った日々は返らない

Surechigatte ite nandomo butsukariatta hibi wa kaeranai

The days when we clashed many times at cross-purposes will not come back.

流した涙も弾ける笑顔も　

Nagashita namida mo hajikeru egao mo

Tears that flowed, smiles that burst,

ふたりだけの音色たちも

futari dake no neiro-tachi mo

tones only between the two of us.

目を閉じたら浮かんでくるよ　大切な毎日が

Me o tojitara ukande kuru yo taisetsu na mainichi ga

When I close my eyes, they come to me, my treasured days.

ああ　ありがとう　最後のカノン　さようなら愛しい人

Ā arigato saigo no kanon Sayōnara itoshii hito
