They spent their days leading an ordinary life.

ともに歳を重ね、

Tomo ni toshi o kasane,

They piled up the years together

しわの数も増えて。

shiwa no kazu mo fuete.

as their wrinkles grew in number.

振り返っても足跡さえ

They left hardly a trace

残ってないけれど。
