空を駆ける飛行機雲　

sora o kakeru hikōkigumo

A aeroplane vapour trail

儚く軌跡を描いた

hakanaku kiseki o egaita

painted a fleeting track across the sky

地平線の青さえも　

chiheisen no ao sae mo

It eventually went over the very blue

やがて追い越して消えた

yagate oikoshite kieta

of the horizon and disappeared

いつからだろうか　

itsu kara darō ka

Since when is it

ノイズに満たされてた

noizu ni mitasarete'ta

that I've been satisfied with noise,

僕は足を止めて　

boku wa ashi o tomete

stopped moving my feet,

陽の差す方へ祈りを寄せた

hi no sasu hō e inori o yoseta

and sent my prayers towards the shining light?

空に唄えば

sora ni utaeba

When I sing to the sky,

いつの日か届くだろう

itsu no hi ka todoku no darō

someday it'll get there

果てのない道が　

hate no nai michi ga

if the endless road

残響で彩られたら

zankyō de irodoraretara

is coloured by its echo

ほら　空に掲げた　

hora sora ni kakageta

幾つものラプソディ

ikutsumo no rapusodi

several rhapsodies to the sky

道標にして歩く　

michishirube ni shite aruku

Making them my signposts, I move forward

想い描いた夢の先へ

to where the dreams I painted lead

そして季節は巡って　

soshite kisetsu wa megutte

Then, the seasons cycle

そっと足跡を隠す

and softly hide my footprints

夕暮れに染められてく

yūgure ni somerarete'ku

gets stained by dusk

僕は　腕を伸ばし

I stretch out my arms and,

切り取るように明日を願った

kiritoru yō ni ashita o negatta

I wished for tomorrow as if it were to be cut off
