It's terribly awkward,

幼い一粒の魂

osanai hitotsubu no tamashii

an immature speck of a soul.

その右手で優しく

Sono migite de yasashiku

With its right hand, it had intended

撫でるつもりが切り裂いてた

naderu tsumori ga kirisaite'ta

to pat you gently, but it tore you to pieces.

その左手で優しく

Sono hidarite de yasashiku

With its left hand, it had intended

抱くつもりが全部壊してた

idaku tsumori ga zenbu kowashite'ta

to hug you, but it destroyed you completely.

上手くいかない　

Umaku ikanai

It doesn't go well.

泣き声は遥か遠くへこだまして

Nakigoe wa haruka tōku e kodama shite

Its growls echo far, far away,

落ち込むたび　

ochikomu tabi

and whenever it feels down,

吐き出す溜め息は炎混じり

its sighs come out mixed with flames.

is a swarm of people scrambling to escape.

Its voice is signals something to fear.

何故なぜか知らんが嫌われてました

Nazeka shiran ga kirawarete'mashita

It doesn't know why but it was hated,

傷だらけモンスター

kizu-darake monsutā

a monster covered in wounds.

光を避け迷いこんだ　

Hikari o sake mayoikonda

It avoided the light and went astray

深い深い闇の奥底

fukai fukai yami no okusoko

in the depths of the deepest darkness.

途方に暮れて見上げれば

Tohō ni kurete miagereba

Perplexed, when it looked up

とても綺麗　満天の夜空

totemo kirei manten no yozora

there was the very pretty sight of the night sky.

思わず手を伸ばしてみたり　

Omowazu te o nobashite mitari
