深い深い、森があった。

Fukai fukai, mori ga atta.

薄暗い　深い森の奥

水と木と花は甘く香り

mizu to ki to hana wa amaku kaori

美しい　鳥の声は

utsukushii tori no koe wa

and a beautiful bird's voice

物悲しく　ただ　響く

monoganashiku tada hibiku

echoes with simple melancholy.

不意に聞こえた声に、

It shines

それは鏡のような泉と、

sore wa kagami no yō na izumi to,

一面の美しい紫の花――

ichimen no utsukushii murasaki no hana—

and all around were beautiful purple flowers—

森の奥には誰も知らない楽園

mori no oku ni wa dare mo shiranai rakuen

Inside the forest lies a paradise of which no-one knows

紫の不思議な秘密の泉

murasaki no fushigi na himitsu no izumi

with a mysterious, secret, purple spring.

ずっとこの森で

zutto kono mori de
