お気に入りの　クマのぬいぐるみ

Okiniiri no kuma no nuigurumi

My favourite teddy bear

ぎゅっと抱きしめて

gyutto dakishimete

I squeeze tight.

ゆっくり　まぶたを閉じれば

Yukkuri mabuta o tojireba

Once I slowly close my eyelids,

何もない　誰もいない　無限の世界

nani mo nai dare mo inai mugen no sekai

it's an infinite world where there's nothing and noone.

希望だったり　不安だったり

Kibō dattari fuan dattari

There are hopes and there are fears,

ひたすら大きく　渦巻いて

hitasura ōkiku uzumaite

ever swirling bigger.

今夜もまた　眠れない

Kon'ya mo mata nemurenai

Tonight begins another

長い夜が始まる

nagai yo ga hajimaru

long, sleepless night

闇夜の街は　いやに静かで

Yamiyo no machi wa iya ni shizuka de

In the darkness of night the town is unpleasantly quiet,

たとえば無の世界のよう

tateoba mu no sekai no yō

like it's a world of nothingness.

遠く聞こえる　サイレンの音が

Tōku kikoeru sairen no oto ga

The sound of a distant siren

ほんの少し　不安をあおる

honno sukoshi fuan o aoru

stirs just a little uneasiness.

大好きな　クマのぬいぐるみ

Daisuki na kuma no nuigurumi

My teddy bear I like so much

強く抱きしめて

tsuyoku dakishimete

I hug tightly.

どれだけ　目を閉じてみても

Dore dake me o tojite mite mo

No matter how much I try to shut my eyes

ひたすらに続く　真っ暗な世界

hitasura ni tsuzuku makkura na sekai

the pitch-black world keeps on going.

言葉に出来ない　不確かな何かが

Kotoba ni dekinai futashika na nanika ga

Something uncertain, indescribable

ただひたすらに　大きくなって

tada hitasura ni ōkiku natte

only gets bigger and bigger.

成す術すべも無いうちに

Nasu sube mo nai uchi ni

While I don't even have a way of dealing with it,

長い夜が　更けていく

nagai yo ga fukete'ku

the long night wears on.

When at last I fall asleep,

お星様も　仕事を終えて

朝の匂いが漂う頃

and it's time for the smell of morning to drift in.

ボクはようやく夢の中

Boku wa yōyaku yume no naka

As for me, I'm finally in the world of dreams.
