自転車こいでひたすら走る

jitensha koide hitasura hashiru

I race fiercely on my bike

初めて出会う街　目指して

hajimete deau machi mezashite

heading towards town for a first encounter.

夏の終わり　すずしくなった朝が

natsu no owari suzushiku natta asa ga

The mornings, cooler now at the end of summer,

けだるい日常を運んでくる

kedarui nichijō o hakonde kuru

bring along languid days.

退屈な場所へ向かうコース　逸れて

taikutsu na basho e mukau kōsu sorete

Deviating from a course towards somewhere boring,

いつもは使わない国道ルートを通る

itsumo wa tsukawanai rūto o tōru

I take a route that I seldom use.

夢もあった　理想きぼうもあった

yume mo atta kibō mo atta

I had dreams, I had hopes.

だけど声に出すのがとても怖かった

dakedo koe ni dasu no ga totemo kowakatta

However, I was too scared to say them out loud.

眼めの前に立ちはだかる茨の道を

me no mae ni tachihadakaru ibara no michi o

The courage to overcome

乗り越える勇気を･･･

a thorny path before my eyes blocking the way …

「この手にください！」

"kono te ni kudasai!"

"Please hand it to me!"

自転車こいでひたすら走る

I race fiercely on my bike.

その先に未来がある気がした

sono saki ni mirai ga aru ki ga shita

I sensed there's a future ahead there.

自己満足ひとりよがりでもいい

hitoriyogari demo ii

I don't mind being smug,

正直なんだっていい

shōjiki nandatte ii

it's OK to be honest.

わずかでも何か変わるなら･･･

wazuka demo nanika kawaru nara …

If something changes, even only barely …

明日に続くと信じて走る

Believing it leads to tomorrow, I race along

見たこと無い道は　背景変えながら

mita koto nai michi wa haikei kaenagara

The road I've never seen, while changing the scenery

普段と違う想いを届ける

fudan to chigau omoi o todokeru

gives me a feeling different to usual.

すれ違う人の全員にきっと

surechigau hito no zen'in ni kitto

I thought about how every person I pass by

それぞれの生き方が･･･とか思った

sorezore no ikikata ga … to ka omotta

surely has their own way of life.

一般人Aモブでしかなかった自分は

mobu de shika nakatta jibun wa

When I was only part of the regular mob,

それ相応の道だけ進むはずだった

soresōō no michi dake susumu hazu datta

I used to think I was just going along the right way.

突然の急な坂を上りきったら

totsuzen no kyū na saka o noborikittara

If I climb this sudden, steep hill

もっと高く高く･･･

motto takaku takaku …

higher and higher …

「陽のあたる場所へ！」

"hi no ataru basho e!"

"To a place where the sun strikes!"

今だけは自分が主役な気がした

ima dake wa jibun ga shuyaku na ki ga shita

I sensed that, at least for now, I have the leading role.

自己満足ひとりよがりでもいい

hitoriyogari demo ii

I don't mind being smug,

正直なんだっていい

shōjiki nandatte ii

kizutsuku koto osoreta kokoro wa

My heart, worried about getting hurt,

カラッポでひび割れそうだった

karappo de hibiwaresō datta

was empty and about to crack.

暗闇で孤独に震えるくらいなら

kurayami de kodoku ni furueru kurai nara

If I'm going to shiver alone in the dark,

傷だらけになってもいいや

kizu-darake ni natte mo ii ya

then better to get covered in bruises.

I race fiercely on my bike.

名前を呼ぶ声にやっと気がついた

namae o yobu koe ni yatto ki ga tsuita

I finally noticed the voice that calls my name.

かっこ悪くてもいい

kakkowarukute mo ii

I don't have to look cool.

イマはガランドウでいい

ima wa garandō de ii

I don't mind emptiness for now.

少しずつ埋めてゆくよ　だから･･･

sukoshi zutsu umete yuku yo dakara...

… Because I'll fill it up bit by bit.
