満開の桜の木の下　君との約束

though we are apart our hearts will always be together.

Therefore, even now, with a smile

君と出会えたこの季節を詠う

kimi to deaeta kono kisetsu o utau

I sing of this season when we first met.

Kimi to deatte egao o shiri

Meeting you, I found out how to smile

笑顔を知って友と出会えた

egao o shitte tomo to deaeta

and, learning to smile, I got to meet a friend.

友がいるから幸せ感じ

Tomo ga iru kara shiawase kanji

Having a friend, I felt happiness

幸せの裏で孤独を知った

shiawase no ura de kodoku o shitta

and on the other side of happiness I discovered loneliness.

夢や希望を持つことが

Yume ya kibō o motsu koto ga

Having hopes and dreams

踏み出す勇気の一歩だった

fumidasu yūki no ippo datta

was the first step of courage to move forward.

辛くなれば目を閉じる

Tsuraku nareba me o tojiru

when things get hard I close my eyes

目に浮かぶのは　桜色

me ni ukabu no wa sakurairo

and I picture the colour of cherry blossoms.

Kiseki no hoshi o meguri megutte

Kindness travels round this planet of miracles

優しさはいつか戻ってくる

yasashisa wa itsuka modotte kuru

and one day returns to whence it came.

夢や希望を持つことが

Yume ya kibō o motsu koto ga

Having hopes and dreams

踏み出す勇気の一歩だった
