The wind grazes my cheeks as I ride my worn-out bicycle.

大きな鞄かばん　担いで走る丘へと続く坂

I'm loaded with a big bag racing along the slope up the hill.

キャンバス越しに眺めてた　白いワンピース

kyanbasu-goshi ni nagamete'ta shiroi wanpīsu

I gazed at a block of white through the canvas.

そっと加えた　雄大な海の群青色

sotto kuwaeta yūdai na umi no gunjōiro

I softly added ultramarine for a grand sea.

私も描いてよと　無邪気に笑う君に

watashi mo kaite yo to mujaki ni warau kimi ni

"I'll draw too," you said with an innocent smile.

つられて笑う僕がそこにいたんだ

tsurarete warau boku ga soko ni ita n da

There I was, smiling, enraptured by you.

赤　緑　黄色　流れゆく時を留める

aka midori kiiro nagareyuku toki o todomeru

Red, green, yellow stop the flow of time

色とりどりの魔法が　この世界を切り取って

irotoridori no mahō ga kono sekai o kiritotte

as multicoloured magic captures a piece of this world.

色彩トラベラー　その全てに意味を与える

shikisai toraberā sono subete ni imi o ataeru

The colourful traveller assigns colour to everything there.

利き手がひらり紡ぐのは　君と僕と　君と

kikite ga hirari tsumugu no wa kimi to boku to kimi to

What the skilled artist nimbly creates, with you, is you and me.

寂しげな影　小さく手を振る後姿

sabishige na kage chiisaku te o furu ushirosugata

A lonely form seen from behind weakly waving their hand.

そっと加えた　夕焼け空のオレンジ色

sotto kuwaeta yūyake-zora no orenjiiro

I softly added the orange of the dusky sky.

いつの日かまた　必ず出会えるよね　

itsu no hi ka mata kanarazu deaeru yo ne

We'll definitely get to meet again some day.

たまらず僕はこの目を背けたんだ

tamarazu boku wa kono me o somuketa n da

I couldn't help looking away.

白　黒　セピア色　流された時を留める

shiro kuro sepiairo nagasareta toki o todomeru

White, black, sepia stop the time I let pass.

気付かないフリしていた　この想いも取り込んで

kizukanai furi shite ita kono omoi mo torikonde

Taking in this feeling, I pretended not to notice.

中途半端なまま　描かれた君の幻

chūtohanba na mama egakareta kimi no maboroshi

An illusion of you remains as an unfinished painting.

薄暗い部屋の片隅に　今も置き去りのまま　

usugurai heya no katasumi ni ima mo okizari no mama

In a corner of a dimly lit room, I'm still left behind.

思い出にしたくないな　今更さ

omoide ni shitaku nai na imasara sa

I don't want to make it a memory, after all this time,

by hurrying my aged brush.

I still hold dear the paints that I couldn't throw away.
