When I was sitting on my favourite bench

本を読んでたら　あらあら不思議ね

hon o yonde'tara ara-ara fushigi ne

reading a book—what, how strange!—

金の髪の　兎が

kin no kami no usagi ga

a rabbit with gold fur

私の前現れて手を引いたの

watashi no mae arawarete te o hiita no

appeared in front of me and took me by the hand

好奇心というジャム　

kōkishin to iu jamu

Is jam called curiosity

お昼ご飯には丁度良い？

ohirogohan ni wa chōdo ii?

perfect for lunch?

「ほらほら急がないと、

"horahora isoganai to,

"Come, we have to hurry

女王様に首を撥はねられちゃう!」

joōsama ni kubi o hanerarechau!"

or the queen will have our heads!"

木漏れ日溢れる午後　

komorebi afureru gogo

In the afternoon shade of the trees

白色の夢の中で

shiroiro no yume no naka de

in the middle of a daydream

今だけは不思議の国を

ima dake wa fushigi no kuni o

at least for now, I'd like

旅していたい

tabi shite itai

to travel in Wonderland

何でも無いふりして　

nan demo nai furi shite

Pretending it's nothing much,

ドキドキを求めてるの

dokidoki o motomete'ru no

I seek thrills

白兎のモデルは

shirousagi no moderu wa

I still can't recall

まだ思い出せない

mada omoidasenai

the model for the white rabbit

どこまでも続いてく道を

dokomademo tsuzuite'ku michi o

Walking along an endless road,

歩いていた途中　あらあら不思議ね

aruite ita tochū ara-ara fushigi ne

along the way—what, how strange!—

銀の髪の　不敵な笑み

kin no kami no futeki na emi

a cat with gold fur sporting

浮かべる猫が私を見つめる

ukaberu neko ga watashi o mitsumeru

a bold smile stares at me

この気持ちは何だろう　

kono kimochi wa nan darō

What could this feeling be?

嫌なのに何処どこか懐かしい

iya na no ni dokoka natsukashii

It's unpleasant but somehow familiar

首を傾げていたら　

kubi o kashigete itara

When I leaned in for a look,

笑みだけ残し猫は消えていった

emi dake nokoshi neko wa kiete itta

the cat disappeared leaving only the smile

道迷ったその時でも　

michi mayotta sono toki demo

What a strange world

私の手を引いて

watashi no te o hiite

that even when I've lost my way

案内してくれる　

annai shite kureru

it takes me by the hand

そんな　不思議な世界

sonna fushigi na sekai

and leads me along

あれ？何か忘れてるかも？　

are? nanika wasurete'ru ka mo?

Huh? Could I have forgotten something?

誰かの影浮かぶ

dareka no kage ukabu

I can see someone's smile floating

チェシャ猫もそんな近くに　

chesha neko mo sonna chikaku ni

The Cheshire Cat can't possibly

いるわけないし･･････

iru wake nai shi ……

be that close by ……

お伽噺とぎばなしのような出会い　

otogibanashi no yō na deai

It's like straight out of a fairy tale

不思議だわ　なんでか　驚かないの

fushigi da wa nandeka odorokanai no

How strange, for some reason I'm not surprised

私　きっとね　見たことあるわ　

watashi kitto ne mita koto aru wa

Surely I've seen it before

気がつけばベンチに座って

while the book that had fallen to the ground

今までの事を教えてくれたの

I've left behind things I've forgotten

大好きなものと

and things I love

白兎もチェシャ猫もね　

shirousagi mo chesha neko mo ne

The white rabbit and the Cheshire Cat,

私のそばにいた

watashi no soba ni ita

they were right beside me

この思いは心の中　

kono omoi wa kokoro no naka

I'll save these thoughts

仕舞しまっておくわ

shimatte oku wa

in my heart
