Ancient life, the first living things,

世界の理　創る我らの手

sekai no kotowari tsukuru warera no te

the reason for the world is our creating hands.

天地分かれ　神々生まれ

ametsuchi wakare kamigami umare

Heaven and earth separate, kamis are born,

世界は今　廻りだす

sekai wa ima mawaridasu

and the world begins to turn.

天地開闢　混沌より生まれし命

tenchikaibyaku konton yori umareshi mei

The creation of heaven and earth is life born from chaos.

万古千秋　永久に続く世界

bankosenshuu tokoshie ni tsuzuku sekai

The world continues eternally through the ages.

左は太陽　右は月に

hidari wa taiyō migi wa tsuki ni

In the sun on the right, the moon on the left,

生まれ落ちる世界の精

umareochiru sekai no sei

the spiritual essence of the world is given birth.

時が生まれ　光が生まれ

toki ga umare hikari ga umare

Time is born, light is born,

礎ができるだろう

ishizue ga dekiru darō

the foundations are being laid.

いにしえのめい　はじまりのせい

inishie no mei hajimari no sei

Ancient life, the first spiritual essence,

世界の理　眺む我らの目

sekai no kotowari nagamu warera no me

the reason for the world is our watchful eye.

月日は流れ　生と死分かれ

tsukihi wa nagare seitoshi wakare

Days and months pass, life and death separate,

輪廻は今　廻りだす

rinne wa ima mawaridasu

the cycle of rebirth begins to turn.

seiseiruten tamayura no gotoki seimei

In the endless circle of life, creatures are like fleeting moments.

天上天下　移ろい続ける世界

tenjōtenge utsuroitsuzukeru sekai

The heaven above, the earth below are ever-changing worlds.

魚と貝と虫と鳥と

sakana to kai to mushi to tori to

Fish and shellfish and insects and birds,

生まれ落ちる全ての生

umareochiru subete no sei

all living things are given birth.

獣が生まれ　人が生まれ

kemono ga umare hito ga umare

Animals are born, people are born,

世界は花めくだろう

sekai wa hanameku darō

the world will flourish.

世界の守り手　　　　　　

sekai no mamorite

Guardians of the world,

穢れを祓い　禁忌を罰する

kegare o harai kinki o bassuru

we dispel impurity and punish violations.

奇跡に災を　

kiseki ni sai o

We entwine woes with wonders

糾う禍福の如く

azanau kafuku no gotoku

like good and ill.

いにしえのめい　はじまりのせい

inishie no mei hajimari no sei

Ancient oath, the first vow,

世界の理　守る我らの手

sekai no kotowari mamoru warera no te

the reason for the world is our protecting hands.

天地分かれ　生と死分かれ

ametsuchi wakare seitoshi wakare

Heaven and earth separate, life and death separate,

世界は今　隔たれる

sekai wa ima hedatareru

the worlds now move apart.

我ら世界の守り手

warera sekai no mamorite

We are the guardians of the world.
