この世界に産まれて

I was born in this world,

今もこうして生きている

and I am living here even now.

あれから色々あって

A lot has happened since then,

今も僕は息をしてる

but I am breathing even now.

何も知らない小さな子供が

A small child who knows nothing

大きくなって

ōkiku natte

grows up

一人でだって歩けるんだ

and learns to walk by itself.

花の種を蒔いたんだ

Hana no tane o maita n da

I sowed flower seeds.

綺麗な花が咲くようにと

I prayed for pretty flowers to bloom.

だけどなかなか咲かないんだ

However, they do not bloom easily.

それでも毎日水をやり

Soredemo mainichi mizu o yari

Even so, I water them daily,

ちょっとずつ育てるんだ

chotto zutsu sodateru n da

and they grow bit by bit.

いつかこの僕にだって

Itsuka kono boku ni datte

One day, even for me,

いのちが終わる時が来る

inochi ga owaru toki ga kuru

the time will come when my life will end.

そんな日が来るまでに

Sonna hi ga kuru made ni

Before that day comes, I wonder if

自慢の花は出来るかな

jiman no hana wa dekiru ka na

I'll grow a flower I can be proud of?

花はやがて枯れるけど

Hana wa yagate kareru kedo

Just as flowers eventually wither

沢山の種を実らせて

takusan no tane o minorasete

but bear many seeds

次の未来へと託すように

tsugi no mirai e to takusu yō ni

and pass them on future generations,

僕が生きた証も

Boku ga ikita akashi mo

I hope that proof that I have lived

受け継がれるといいな

will be passed on too.
