微笑み残して旅立った

hohoemi nokoshite tabidatta

she departed for the starry heavens,

遠き日の　記憶だけ

tōki hi no kioku dake

leaving but a smile.

怖がりな臆病者な

kowagari na okubyōmono na

The timid, coward of a

仔ギツネのはじめての我が儘わがまま

kogitsune no hajimete no wagamama

fox cub's first selfish act:

奮え　狼煙を上げろ

furue noroshi o agero

Rise up, raise the signal.

いざ飛び出せ初陣　昂たかぶる衝動

狐は駆けゆく　永久の幸せ夢見て

kitsune wa kakeyuku towa no shiawase yumemite

The fox races on, dreaming of eternal happiness.

抗え運命に　火蓋は落とされた

aragae unmei ni hibuta wa otosareta

Oppose fate, now it has opened fire:
