that I looked up at the sky and cried.

辛いことがあっても

Even in hard times,

なぜか空だけは綺麗だった

for some reason at least the sky was pretty.

考えすぎてわからなくなって

I thought too much and got confused,

しんどいなって泣いたりした

I couldn't handle it any more and started crying.

靴を履くことさえ億劫で

I couldn't even get myself to put my shoes on,

もう頑張れないよって思ったけど

and felt like I couldn't keep on going. But …

下を向くのをやめようと思った

so I figured I'd stop looking down.
