雨降り小径は

amefuri komichi wa

A pleasant smell

やさしい匂いが満ちているから

yasashii nioi ga michite iru kara

fills the rainy passage,

大きな傘で迎えにいくんだ

ōkina kasa de mukae ni iku n da

so I'm on my way to meet you with a large umbrella.

大切に思っていたものが

taisetsu ni omotte ita mono ga

Suppose what was important to me

色あせて見えてしまったとして

iroasete miete shimatta to shite

ended up losing its colour

それを捨ててしまうのなら

sore o sutete shimau no nara

and I end up throwing it away.

そこにある花の色もわからなくなるよ

soko ni aru hana no iro mo wakaranaku naru yo

Then I'd end up unable to perceive the colour of that flower over there.

忘れてしまうよ

wasurete shimau yo

I'd forget all about it.

僕の足音聞こえるかい

boku no ashioto kikoeru kai

Can you hear my footsteps?

君に会いに行くんだよ

kimi ni ai ni iku n da yo

You know I'm coming to see you.

Someone's prayers

誰かの祈りで照らされているから

dareka no inori de terasarete iru kara

shine their light on the starry passage,

迷わず君を迎えに行くんだ

mayowazu kimi o mukae ni iku n da

so I'm undeterred on my way to meet you.

大切にしまっていたものが

taisetsu ni shimatte ita mono ga

Suppose what I held dear

いつの間にかどっかいっちゃったとして

itsu no ma ni ka dokka itchatta to shite

ended up going somewhere before I realized

それも忘れてしまうなら

sore mo wasurete shimau nara

and I even ended up forgetting about it.

大切にしていたこともなくなってしまうよ

taisetsu ni shite ita koto mo nakunatte shimau yo

Then I'd end up losing the fact that I held it dear.

消えてしまうよ
