When I open the window, see, a pleasant wind blows.

お気に入りの曲を聴き　歩く道

Okiniiri no kyoku o kiki aruku michi

I walk along the street listening to my favourite song.

気がつけば　メロディー口ずさんでいるわたし

Ki ga tsukeba merodī kuchizusande iru watashi

When I notice, I'm humming along to the melody.

いつもの道　いつもの景色だけど

Itsumo no michi itsumo no keshiki da kedo

It's the same street, the same scenery,

どこか色づく　あなたに逢える予感がするんだ

dokoka irozuku anata ni aeru yokan ga suru n da

but I have a hunch that I'll get to meet you and add colour to my life.

空を見上げていこう　下を向くことがないように

I'll go looking up at the sky, so that I don't need to look down.

I'll walk straight without getting distracted.

With the evening sun shining on me,

優しく髪をなでる風を感じていたよ

yasashiku kami o naderu kaze o kanjite ita yo

I felt the wind gently patting my hair.

茜色に染まる　街を見てたら

Akaneiro ni somaru machi o mite'tara

When I saw the town stained a ruddy red,

少し寂しい気持ちになってしまっていた

sukoshi samishii kimochi ni natte shimatte ita

I started feeling a bit lonely.

公園の懐かしいブランコに

Kōen no natsukashii buranko ni

At the park, I happened to see the swings I used to love,

ふと目を止めて　寄り道をして　思わず揺られた

and, taking a detour, I couldn't help feeling shaken.

空を見上げてみよう　辛いことあったときには

I'll lookup at the sky when I feel things are tough.

立ち止まることさえも　大切なことなんだ
