星が降る夜に舞う

hoshi ga furu yoru ni mau

As you danced on a starry night,

君の横顔を見つめていた

kimi no yokogao o mitsumete ita

I was gazing at the side of your face.

咲いた笑顔はきっと

saita egao wa kitto

The smile that blossomed there

僕が描く最初の花

boku ga egaku saisho no hana

is surely the first flower I draw.

星が舞い　降り積もる丘に

hoshi ga mai furitsumoru oka ni

On the hill where the stars danced and rained down

夢を植えに駆け出した

yume o ue ni kakedashita

I raced up to plant a dream.

風を受けて蕾は

kaze o ukete tsubomi wa

Struck by the wind, the buds

やがて花びらになるだろう

yagate hanabira ni naru darō

will eventually become petals.

歌声が　響いて　聞こえる

utagoe ga hibiite kikoeru

A resounding song can be heard.

僕らも　奏で　重なるだろう

bokura mo kanade kasanaru darō

Maybe we'll play along with it.

あの星は君が見ていた

ano hoshi wa kimi ga mite ita

You were the one looking at that star,

小さな欠片を抱きしめ

chiisana kakera o dakishime

tightly embracing that small fragment.

あの星は君の覚悟を

ano hoshi wa kimi no kakugo o

That star must have kept

いつだって聴いてくれたのだろう

itsudatte kiite kureta no darō

listening to your resolve.

届いた指先　

todoita yubisaki

Once your fingertips have reached it,

星を離さないで

hoshi o hanasanaide

don't let go of the star.

空の端を

sora no hana o

Like the moon slips

月が滑る様に

tsuki ga suberu yō ni

along the edge of the sky

目を覆う様に

me o ōu yō ni

as if covering its eyes …

燦々　照って　咲いた花は

sansan tette saita hana wa

They say a flower that blossoms in bright light

段々　重さに　負けて

dandan omosa ni makete

gradually gives in to its weight

海に　沈むんだってさ

umi ni shizumu nda tte sa

and sinks into the sea,

散々　泣いて　咲いた花は

sanzan naite saita hana wa

while a flower that blossoms with sad tears

完全　だった　あの頃と

kanzen datta ano koro to

doesn't change from the time

変わらなくて

kawaranakute

when it was perfect.

あの星は僕らを見ていた

ano hoshi wa bokura o mite ita

That star was looking at us,

小さな欠片の僕らを

chiisana kakera no bokura o

the small fragment that's us.

あの星は僕らの夢を

ano hoshi wa bokura no yume o

That star must always

いつだって抱いてくれたのだろう

itsudatte daite kureta no darō

have held onto our dream.

届いた指先
