It starts on an ordinary day

陽だまりの中　息する

hidamari no naka iki suru

in a sunny spot taking my breaths.

そんな日々を　いつも、いつまでも

sonna hibi o itsumo, itsumademo

I would always go on spending

過ごしてゆくのだと

sugoshite yuku no da to

days like that indefinitely, I thought.

旅立つ理由は

tabidatsu riyū wa

Others would see the reason I left

他人ひとにはちっぽけな『わだかまり』

hito ni wa chippoke na 'wadakamari'

as because of a bit of ill feeling.

強くなりたくて

tsuyoku naritakute

Wanting to become stronger,

果てのない道を　駆け出した

hate no nai michi o kakedashita

I started racing on an endless road.

いくつもの夜を越えて行こう　

ikutsumo no yoru o koete yukō

I'll go through many nights

知らない世界で

shiranai sekai de

in an unknown world.

上手くいかなくて　

umaku ikanakute

There'll be times when it won't go well

立ち止まることもあるけれど

tachidomaru koto mo aru keredo

and I'll be at a standstill, yet …

離さないでいて　その剣を　

hanasanaide ite sono tsurugi o

Don't let go of your sword

君の持つ勇気を

kimi no motsu yūki o

or the courage you have.

光が交差する　むかい風の中　

hikari ga kōsa suru mukaikaze no naka

Where light intersects in the midst of headwinds,

出会いが待ってる

deai ga matte'ru

encounters await.

行き止まりを　ひとり立往生

yukidomari o hitori tachiōjō

A dead end brings me alone at a standstill.

途方に暮れて　ため息

tohō ni kurete tameiki

Perplexed, I sigh.

見上げた空　浮かぶお月さま

miageta sora ukabu otsukisama

I look up at the sky and see the moon floating above

導かれるままに

michibikareru mama ni

as I'm being guided.

集う僕らは　ちぐはぐで

tsudou bokura wa chiguhagu de

We who congregate are mismatched

ぶつかるばかり

butsukaru bakari

and always at each other.

だけど共に日々　歩んだ分だけ

dakedeo tomoni hibi ayunda bun dake

The more we walk together day after day, however,

心は通う

kokoro wa kayou

the more our hearts unite.
