悪ノ王子 ♥ Aku no Ōji ♥ Prince of Evil

むかしむかしあるところに

Mukashi mukashi aru tokoro ni

A long, long, time ago in a certain place

悪逆非道の王国の

akugyaku hidō no ōkoku no

reigning at the top

頂点に君臨するは

chōten ni kunrin suru wa

of a treacherous kingdom

齢よわい十四の王子様

yowai jūyon no ōjisama

was a fourteen year-old prince.

絢爛豪華な調度品

Kenran gōka na chōdohin

Luxurious and gorgeous furnishings,

顔のよく似た召使

kao no yoku nita meshitsukai

a servant who greatly resembled him,

愛馬の名前はイノベータ

aiba no namae wa Inobēta

a favourite horse named Innovator,

全てが全て彼のもの

subete ga subete kare no mono

everything completely belonged to him.

お金が足りなくなったなら

Okane ga tarinaku natta nara

If he ever needed more money, he’d

愚民どもから搾りとれ

gumin-domo kara shiboritore

have it wrung from the ignorant masses.

私に逆らう者たちは

Watashi ni sakarau mono-tachi wa

Anyone who opposed him

粛清してしまえ

shukusei shite shimae

he’d order them to be eliminated.

「さあ、ひさまずくがいい！」

“Sā hizamazuku ga ii!”

“Now, kneel before me!”

悪の華　可憐に咲く

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

鮮やかな彩りで

azayaka na irodori de

with vivid colours.

周りの哀れな雑草は

Mawari no aware na zassō wa

The pitiful weeds around him,

嗚呼　養分となり朽ちていく

ā yōbun to nari kuchite yuku

ha! they become fertilizer and rot away.

暴君王子が恋するは

Bōkun ōji ga koi suru wa

The tyrannical prince was in love with a

隣の国の緑の娘こ

tonari no kuni no midori no ko

girl of green who from a neighbouring land.

だけども彼女は海の向こう

Dakedomo kanojo wa umi no mukō

She, though, was taken at first sight of a

青い男にひとめぼれ

aoi otoko ni hitomebore

man of blue who lived beyond the sea.

嫉妬に狂った王子様

Shitto ni kurutta ōjisama

The prince, frenzied by his jealousy,

ある日大臣を呼び出して

aru hi daijin o yobidashite

one day summoned his ministers

静かな声で言いました

shizuka na koe de iimashita

and said in a hushed voice,

「青の国を滅ぼすがいい」

“Ao no kuni o horobosu ga ii”

“Wipe out the country of blue.”

幾多の家が焼き払われ

Ikuta no ie ga yakiharaware

Many houses are reduced to ashes,

幾多の命が消えていく

ikuta no inochi ga kiete yuku

and many lives are being lost.

苦しむ人々の嘆きは

Kurushimu hitobito no nageki wa

Yet the grief of the suffering people

王子には届かない

ōji ni wa todokanai

does not reach the prince.

「ああ、おやつの時間だな」

“Ā, oyatsu no jikan da na”

“Hey, it’s time for afternoon tea.”

悪の華　可憐に咲く

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

狂おしい彩りで

kuruoshii irodori de

with maddening colours.

とても美しい花なのに

Totemo utsukushii hana na no ni

Although it is a very beautiful flower,

嗚呼　棘が多すぎて触れない

ā toge ga ōsugite sawarenai

ah! it has too many thorns to touch.

悪の王子を倒すべく

Aku no ōji o taosu beku

In order to overthrow the evil prince,

ついに人々は立ち上がる

tsui ni hitobito wa tachiagaru

the people finally arise.

烏合うごうの彼らを率いるは

Ugō no karera o hikiiru wa

The one leading the mob was

赤き鎧の女剣士

akaki yoroi no onna kenshi

a red-armoured woman swordfighter.

つもりにつもったその怒り

Tsumori ni tsumotta sono ikari

The rage that had accumulated for

国全体を包み込んだ

kuni zentai o tsutsumikonda

so long consumed the entire country.

長年の戦で疲れた

Naganen no ikusa de tsukareta

Worn from long years of battle,

兵士たちなど敵ではない

heishi-tachi nado teki de wa nai

his soldiers were no match at all.

ついに王宮は囲まれて

Tsui ni ōkyū wa kakomarete

Finally, the palace was surrounded

家臣たちも逃げ出した

kashin-tachi mo nigedashita

and all his servants had fled.

艶麗佳麗な王子様

Enrei karei na ōjisama

The dazzlingly handsome prince

ついに捕らえられた

tsui ni toraerareta

could finally be captured.

「この　無礼者！」

“Kono bureimono!”

“What insolence is this!”

悪の華　可憐に咲く

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

悲しげな彩りで

kanashige na irodori de

with pitiful colours.

彼のための楽園は

Kare no tame no rakuen wa

His own paradise,

嗚呼　もろくもはかなく崩れてく

ā moroku mo hakanaku kuzurete’ku

oh, fragile and fleeting, crumbles away.

むかしむかしあるところに

Mukashi mukashi aru tokoro ni

悪逆非道の王国の

処刑の時間は午後三時

Shokei no jikan wa gogo sanji

The time of his execution was at three past

教会の鐘が鳴る時間

kyōkai no kane ga naru jikan

noon, the time the church bell would toll.

王子と呼ばれたその人は

Ōji to yobareta sono hito wa

What would the person who they called the

一人牢屋で何を思う

hitori rōya de nani o omou

prince be thinking alone in his prison cell?

ついにその時はやってきて

Tsui ni sono toki wa yatte kite

Finally that time arrived

終わりを告げる鐘が鳴る

owari o tsugeru kane ga naru

and the bell rang that announced the end.

民衆などには目もくれず

Minshū nado ni wa me mo kurezu

Without so much as a glance at the crowd,

彼はこういった

kare wa kō itta

he said this:

「ああ、おやつの時間だな」

“Ā oyatsu no jikan da na”

“Hey, it’s time for afternoon tea.”

悪の華　可憐に散る

Aku no hana karen ni chiru

An evil flower scatters daintily

鮮やかな彩りで

azayaka na irodori de

in vivid colours.

のちの人々はこう語る

Nochi no hitobito wa kō kataru

People would later tell of him,

嗚呼　彼こそ正に悪ノ王子

Ā kare wa masa ni aku no ōji

“Oh, he really was an evil prince.”
