Luxurious and gorgeous furnishings,

顔のよく似た召使

kao no yoku nita meshitsukai

a servant who greatly resembled her,

愛馬の名前はジョセフィーヌ

aiba no namae wa Josephīnu

a favourite horse named Josephine,

全てが全て彼女のもの

subete ga subete kanojo no mono

everything completely belonged to her.

お金が足りなくなったなら

Okane ga tarinaku natta nara

If she ever needed more money, she’d

愚民どもから搾りとれ

gumin-domo kara shiboritore

have it wrung from the ignorant masses.

私に逆らう者たちは

Watashi ni sakarau mono-tachi wa

Anyone who opposed her

粛清してしまえ

shukusei shite shimae

she’d order them to be eliminated.

「さあ、ひざまずきなさい！」

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

鮮やかな彩りで

azayaka na irodori de

with vivid colours.

周りの哀れな雑草は

Mawari no aware na zassō wa

The pitiful weeds around her,

嗚呼　養分となり朽ちていく

ā yōbun to nari kuchite iku

ha! they become fertilizer and rot away.

暴君王女が恋するは

Bōkun ōjo ga koi suru wa

The tyrannical princess was in love with

海の向こうの青い人

umi no mukō no aoi hito

a man of blue who lived beyond the sea.

だけども彼は隣国の

Dakedomo kare wa ringoku no

He, though, was taken at first sight of a

緑の女にひとめぼれ

midori no onna ni hitomebore

girl of green from the neighbouring land.

嫉妬に狂った王女様

Shitto ni kurutta ōjosama

The princess, frenzied by her jealousy,

ある日大臣を呼び出して

aru hi daijin o yobidashite

one day summoned her ministers

静かな声で言いました

shizuka na koe de iimashita

and said in a hushed voice,

「緑の国を滅ぼしなさい」

“Midori no kuni o horoboshinasai”

“Wipe out the country of green.”

幾多の家が焼き払われ

Ikuta no ie ga yakiharaware

Many houses are reduced to ashes,

幾多の命が消えていく

ikuta no inochi ga kiete iku

and many lives are being lost.

苦しむ人々の嘆きは

Kurushimu hitobito no nageki wa

Yet the grief of the suffering people

王女には届かない

ōjo ni wa todokanai

does not reach the princess.

「あら、おやつの時間だわ」

“Ara, oyatsu no jikan da wa”

“Oh, it’s time for afternoon tea.”

悪の華　可憐に咲く

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

狂おしい彩りで

kuruoshii irodori de

with maddening colours.

とても美しい花なのに

Totemo utsukushii hana na no ni

Although it is a very beautiful flower,

嗚呼　棘が多すぎて触れない

ā toge ga ōsugite sawarenai

ah! it has too many thorns to touch.

悪の王女を倒すべく

Aku no ōjo o taosu beku

In order to overthrow the evil princess,

ついに人々は立ち上がる

tsui ni hitobito wa tachiagaru

the people finally arise.

烏合うごうの彼らを率いるは

Ugō no karera o hikiiru wa

The one leading the mob was

赤き鎧の女剣士

akaki yoroi no onna kenshi

a red-armoured woman swordfighter.

つもりにつもったその怒り

Tsumori ni tsumotta sono ikari

The rage that had accumulated for

国全体を包み込んだ

kuni zentai o tsutsumikonda

so long consumed the entire country.

長年の戦で疲れた

Naganen no ikusa de tsukareta

Worn from long years of battle,

兵士たちなど敵ではない

heishi-tachi nado teki de wa nai

her soldiers were no match at all.

ついに王宮は囲まれて

Tsui ni ōkyū wa kakomarete

Finally, the palace was surrounded

家臣たちも逃げ出した

kashin-tachi mo nigedashita

and all her servants had fled.

可愛く可憐な王女様

Kawaiku karen na ōjosama

The lovely, dainty princess

ついに捕らえられた

tsui ni toraerareta

could finally be captured.

「この　無礼者！」

“Kono bureimono!”

“What insolence is this!”

悪の華　可憐に咲く

Aku no hana karen ni saku

An evil flower blooms daintily

悲しげな彩りで

kanashige na irodori de

with pitiful colours.

彼女のための楽園は

Kanojo no tame no rakuen wa

Her own paradise,

嗚呼　もろくもはかなく崩れてく

ā moroku mo hakanaku kuzurete’ku

oh, fragile and fleeting, crumbles away.

Shokei no jikan wa gogo sanji

The time of her execution was at three past

教会の鐘が鳴る時間

kyōkai no kane ga naru jikan

noon, the time the church bell would toll.

王女と呼ばれたその人は

Ōjo to yobareta sono hito wa

What would the one they called the princess

一人牢屋で何を思う

hitori rōya de nani o omou

be thinking alone in her prison cell?

ついにその時はやってきて

Tsui ni sono toki wa yatte kite

Finally that time has come

終わりを告げる鐘が鳴る

owari o tsugeru kane ga naru

and the bell that announces the end rings.

民衆などには目もくれず

Minshū nado ni wa me mo kurezu

Without so much as a glance at the people,

－彼女－はこういった

Nochi no hitobito wa kō kataru

People would later tell of her,

嗚呼　彼女は正に悪ノ娘
