この世界中は　僕にとってみれば

This entire world, when I look for myself,

どこでもキャンバスみたいさ

doko demo kyanbasu mitai sa

everywhere is like a canvas.

虹色クレパス　魔法みたいだね

Nijiiro kurepasu mahō mitai da ne

Rainbow-coloured crayons are like magic,

描けば飛び出してくるくらいの

egakeba tobidashite kuru kurai no

enough for things to jump out at me when I draw.

空想　夢を色付けよう

Kūsō yume o irozukeyō

I'll colour in a fantasy, a dream.

夜のパレード　輝く星に

Yoru no parēdo kagayaku hoshi ni

In the night parade with its shining stars,

それを見上げる“キミ”の笑顔

sore o miageru “kimi” no egao

it's “your” smiling face when I look up at them.

限られた世界に　無限大を描き出そう

Kagirareta sekai ni mugendai o egakidasō

In a limited world I'll depict the infinite.

夢の中の僕も今は羽ばたいてるよ

Yume no naka no boku mo ima wa habataite'ru yo

In my dreams, I'm now taking flight.

何年後の先の僕が見失っていても

Nannengo no saki no boku ga miushinatte ite mo

Even if I, in many years' time, lose sight of you,

キミを描いた事だけは“ココ”に残るよ

kimi o egaita koto dake wa “koko” ni nokoru yo

at least what I've drawn of you will remain “here”.

この世界中を　魔法にかければ

Kono sekaijū o mahō ni kakereba

If I cast a magic spell on the whole world,

何色も彩れるさ

naniiro mo irodoreru sa

I can paint it in any colour at all,

虹色のキミと　ボクとの秘密の

Nijiiro no kimi to boku to no himitsu no

because it's our secret, rainbow-coloured kingdom,

二人っきりの王国だからさ

futarikkiri no ōkoku da kara sa

just for the two of us, you and me.

ほっぺに　ラクガキつけたまま

Hoppe ni rakugaki tsuketa mama

With scrawls on your cheeks

空のサーカス　雲のブランコ

sora no sākasu kumo no buranko

the circus in the sky, the trapeze in the clouds,

塀の中の“キミ”が笑うよ

hei no naka no “kimi” ga warau yo

“you” smile inside the fence.

無限大の色でその夢を飾ってみよう

Mugendai no iro de sono yume o kazatte miyō

I'll decorate the dream with an infinity of colours.

その中のキミは　未来の僕になるだろう

Sono naka no kimi wa mirai no boku ni naru darō

In it, you will become the future me.

自分らしいキャンバスを目の前に広げたなら

Jibun rashii kyanbasu o me no mae ni hirogeta nara

If I spread out a canvas in my own way in front of me

いくつでも空想しよう　雨が降るまで

ikutsu de mo kūsō shiyō ame ga furu made

I'll fantasize over and over until the rain falls.

雨の中の街は　すべての色を消し去って

Ame no naka no machi wa subete no iro o keshisatte

The town in the rain will lose all its colour,

ただまっさらへと　世界を戻してくけど

tada massara e to sekai o modoshite'ku kedo

and the world gets taken back to being pure white.

夢見がち、寂しがりな僕へと泣いた事が

yumemigachi, samishigari na boku e to naita koto ga

But its crying to me, the dreamer, the loner,

今歩き出した始まりの音なんだろう

ima arukidashita hajimari no oto na n darō

is now the sound that I've set off again.

雨上がりの空の　キャンバスにキミが笑って

Ameagari no sora no kyanbasu ni kimi ga waratte

In the canvas of the sky after the rain, you smile,

折りたたんだ傘でまた未来を描くんだ

oritatanda kasa de mata mirai o egaku n da

and I paint the future again with my folded umbrella.

笑い声　悲しいこと　あのときは消えないから

Waraigoe kanashii koto ano toki wa kienai kara

Laughter, sadness, they do not disappear then,

誇らしく歩いてみよう　キミに会うまで

hokorashiku aruite miyō kimi ni au made

so I'll walk proudly until I meet you.

何年後の先の僕が見失っていても

Nannengo no saki no boku ga miushinatte ite mo

Even if in many years' time I lose sight of you,

キミを描いた事だけは“ココ”に残るよ

kimi o egaita koto dake wa “koko” ni nokoru yo

at least what I've drawn of you will remain “here”.

今も心のキャンバスに　キミを描いてる

Ima mo kokoro no kyanbasu ni kimi o kaite'ru

Even now, in the canvas of my heart, I'm drawing you.
