勇気の樹 ♥ Yūki no Ki ♥ Tree of Courage

過ごしてく時間が　

sugoshite'ku jikan ga

A small tree raised

育んだ小さな樹

hagukunda chiisana ki

by the passage of time

折れぬよう光を淡く

orenu yō hikari o awaku

feebly wraps the light in its arms

両手包む

ryōte tsutsumu

so it won't break.

錆び付いた言葉を　

sabitsuita kotoba o

Even repeating

何度繰り返しても

nando kurikaeshite mo

rusty old words over and over,

差し伸ばされた手の　意味は

sashinobasareta te no imi wa

even if its extended arms

かなわなくても

kanawanakute mo

do not fulfil their purpose …

頑張れるよ　小さな　声音コワオトでも

ganbareru yo chiisana kowaoto demo

It can hang in there, even though its voice is small.

両手いっぱいに　抱き止められる

ryōte ippai ni dakitomerareru

It can capture as much as its arms can hold

大きくなる　明日の　優しい色が

ōkiku naru ashita no yasashii iro ga

so that tomorrow when it's grown

柔らかい枝　ふれるように

yawarakai eda fureru yō ni

its lovely colour may touch its soft branches.

ひかれるまま駆けた　

hikareru mama kaketa

It goes hidden in the meadow

草原に埋もれてく

kusahara ni umorete'ku

where it raced along as it was drawn,

想い出の笑顔を　

omoide no egao o

ever also embracing

ずっと共に抱いて

zutto tomoni daite

the smile in its memory.

迷わないさ　小さな　印でも

mayowanai sa chiisana shirushi demo

It won't lose its way, though it's a small sign

両手いっぱいに　広げてるから

ryōte ippai ni hirogete'ru kara

because I spread it out full in my arms

理由わけもない　君の　頼もしさから

wake mo nai kimi no tanomoshisa kara

so that from your simple dependability

少しの勇気　芽吹くように

sukoshi no yūki mebuku yō ni

will bud a little courage.

澄んだまなざし　枝葉を　揺らしてく

sunda manazashi edaha o yurashite'ku

With clear sight it waves its foliage,

光の途絶えた　眠り起こして

hikari no todaeta nemuri okoshite

roused from its sleep from when the light stopped.

目を開けば　いるよ　ホントの僕が

me o hirakeba iru yo honto no boku ga

If you open your eyes, I'm here; you'll notice

広げた葉に　気付く

hirogeta ha ni kizuku

the real me in the leaves you spread out.

守っている　幼い　命でも

mamotte iru osanai inochi demo

Though it's a young life, I'm looking after it,

両手いっぱいに　生きているから

ryōte ippai ni ikite iru kara

for it lives full in my arms.

伸べられた手を　握り返せば

noberareta te o nigirikaeseba

If I also grasp its extended hands,

小さな樹が　そっと　育つ

chiisana ki ga sotto sodatsu

the small tree will quietly grow.
