Hoho kasumeru samu kogarashi

The cold wintry wind that grazes my cheeks

凍えるほど冷たくて

kogoeru hodo tsumetakute

is cold enough to freeze,

初めて見るこの景色を　

hajimete miru kono keshiki o

and this scene that I'm seeing for the first time

鮮やかな色に染める

azayaka na iro ni someru

is stained in vivid colour.

木々の合間から覗く空　

Kigi no aima kara nozoku sora

The sky peeps between the trees

風に舞う姿　照らされて

kaze ni mau sugata terasarete

and lights them up as they dance in the breeze.

互いを映したその瞳　

tagai o utsushita sono hitomi

Our eyes, reflecting each other,

大きく瞬く

ōkiku matataku

are open wide, twinkling.

紅葉こうよう舞い散る　遊歩道　

Kōyō maichiru yūhodō

Red autumn leaves fluttered down the promenade,

戸惑い立ち尽くしてた

tomadoi tachitsukushite'ta

as we stood still, uncertain what to do.

記憶の面影とは違う　

Kioku no omokage to wa chigau

You look different to how I remember,

不意に涙溢れ

fui ni namide afure

and tears suddenly well up.

触れた温もりは懐かしく
